Tips For International Students Arriving In May 2024
When you arrive in Canada, you'll meet a border services officer who will ensure you meet some basic requirements.
- There are 7 documents you should have handy at this point. To enter Canada You must :
- have a valid travel, such as a passport
- have the part of the entry letter of introduction you were sent when your study-permitted application was approved.
- have a valid electronic travel authorization (eTA), a valid visitor visa ( temporary resident visa ), a valid green card ( or equivalent official proof of US status), or another valid travel document.
- Have enough money for your stay such as GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate).
- Be in good health and have valid immigration, and medical exam results at the time of entry into Canada. If your exam will expire before you enter Canada, you need to get another medical exam.
- Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions.
