OPPORTUNITY CARD
With the Opportunity Card, candidates from non-EU countries can enter Germany to look for a suitable job without proof of an ORT permanent employment contract up to 1 year.

Prerequisites
You must reach a total of six points. Basic requirements include German level A1 or English level B2, at least two years of vocational training, or a university degree that is recognized in your country of origin. No points are awarded for the basic requirements.
POINTS DISTRIBUTION
- Two points are awarded for two years of professional experience preceded by vocational training (in the last five years). If you are not older than 35, you also get two points. 2 more points for German level B1.
• One point if you aren't over 40 and for a previous stay in Germany (at least six months). Previous stays as a tourist do not count.
• Four points for partial recognition of a foreign professional qualification or for permission to practice a regulated profession (e.g. teacher, nurse, or engineer).
• Three points for five years of professional experience (in the last seven years). Alternatively, you receive three points for good German language skills at level B2.
